3 Aussie brands inspiring roast night

At Hagane Home, we're deeply passionate about supporting Australian-owned businesses — especially those that are family-run, female-led, and regionally based, just like we are.
There’s something special about products created with care by people who truly love what they do. The kind of pieces that become part of everyday rituals around the table.
Here are a few wonderful Australian brands that have been inspiring us lately.
Long Lunch Linen
Long Lunch Linen create beautiful Australian-designed table linens made from high-end pure French linen. Their business is run by Carina and Alex in Tamworth, NSW.
Their colour palette is inspired by the Australian countryside and their favourite French ingredients, resulting in linens that feel both relaxed and elegant. The pieces are timeless and heirloom-worthy — designed to outlast trends and become part of many gatherings around the table.
When the table is beautifully set, it makes the whole meal feel more special.
Sophie Hansen
Of course, once the table is ready, you’ll want something delicious to serve.
That’s where Sophie Hansen comes in.
Sophie lives with her family on a farm just outside Orange, NSW and has published five cookbooks (with a sixth currently in the works).
I own A Basket by the Door and In Good Company and cook from both often. Sophie’s recipes are simple, generous and always delicious — perfect for joyful gatherings and long lunches with family and friends.
Her cooking celebrates seasonal ingredients and the simple pleasure of sharing good food with people you love — something we really connect with.
Maison Apprêt
And for everyday kitchen prep, I’ve been loving the colourful chopping boards from Maison Apprêt.
They’re as practical as they are beautiful — available in pink, lilac, green, beige and rouge — and each board features a non-slip grip and a juice groove for easy preparation. They’re dishwasher safe, BPA-free and non-toxic, which makes them a lovely and practical addition to the kitchen.
I often use mine for serving cheese platters and grazing boards too.
Planning the next roast night
Thoughtful products like these always inspires me to plan the next gathering.
The table is set.
The recipe is chosen.
The kitchenware is ready.
All that’s left is the meal itself.
Tonight, I’m thinking a beautiful lamb roast.
After all, there’s nothing quite like the smell of a roast filling the house and bringing everyone to the table.
And those are the moments that inspired the Ultimate Roaster in the first place. Memories from my childhood growing up on a cattle farm in Central Queensland, my family gathered round the table, enjoying a golden, juicy roast.
